New Kendo classes for kids!

Starting October 2026, we are offering Kendo classes designed specifically for children and teenagers. Ages 6 to 18 are welcome.

Kendo is the modern Japanese art of fencing, practiced with a bamboo sword and protective armor. It's a great fit for young students: every class builds focus, self discipline, and respect, along with real physical conditioning, footwork, balance, and coordination. Students learn to face a partner with courage and courtesy. No experience necessary!

When: Mondays, 6:00 to 6:45 p.m., starting October 2026
Where: Holford Recreation Center, Garland
Price: $90 for 3 months!
Ages: 6 to 18
