DFWKIK, in conjunction with the SWKIF, is excited to announce the 2026 SWKIF Fall Iaido Seminar, Inoue Cup Taikai, and Shinsa up to 3rd Dan. The events will take place November 13th - 15th. DFWKIK would like to formally invite all members of your dojo to participate in the events!
We are honored to welcome Jason Hankins Sensei, Iaido Renshi 7th Dan as lead instructor for our seminar, and shinpancho for the Inoue Cup Taikai.
This year we will offer the following divisions for the Inoue Cup Taikai:
- Mudansha - unranked to 1st Kyu
- Yudansha - 1st Dan to 3rd Dan
The Inoue Cup Taikai began in 1992 as a goodwill DFWKIK club tournament. The taikai subsequently evolved into a larger regional event, including appearances as part of the AUSKF Summer Camps in 1998 and 2000.
The Inoue Cup is hosted to foster friendship and provide Iaido practitioners with an opportunity to learn, practice, and enjoy friendly competition.
