Thank you for your interest in our club. We always welcome new members to our organization. We recommend visiting a practice before you make your decision to join. Our practice times and locations are listed here at our web site. Click here and then click on the facility name for a map. When visiting, be sure to introduce yourself to one of the sensei or senior students and pick up a new member application that icludes a complete schedule of dues, fees, and new member information. Our club dues are $45 per month plus an initiation fee of $25 per person, maximum of $90 per family. There are discounts for children and teens under 18. There are annual dues payable to the regional and national kendo organizations. These range from $30 to $65 a year plus a $5 initiation fee. For senior students attending Tuesday night practices, an additional fee of $10 per month is required. After visiting, all you will need to get started is:
1) sweat pants
![]()
2) non-descript t-shirt
3) shinai
4) bokuto
5) knee pads (if interested in iaido as well).Items 3 & 4 can be purchased at Lang Son Traders, 318 E. Abram, Arlington (817)261-0065. Click on the name for a map. After a few practices, you can purchase a keiko-gi (cotton top) and hakama (pleated trousers) from Lang Son as well. The club also has several basic sets to rent.
If you have any further questions, feel free to contact one of the members listed on our home page. Otherwise, we look forward to seeing you at practice.
