The Dallas/Fort Worth Kendo & Iaido Kyokai
Nabeshima Cup Kendo Taikai
The Nabeshima Cup Invitational Kendo Tournament started in 1992 as a goodwill Dallas/Fort Worth Kendo & Iaido Kyokai club tournament and has now expanded to include dojos throughout the Southwest region of the United States.  The Nabeshima Cup is an individual tournament hosted by the Dallas/Fort Worth Kendo & Iaido Kyokai and is open to participants of SanDan (3rd degree) and below.  The Nabeshima Cup is traditionally a spring tournamnt held in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
The next Nabeshima Cup Invitational Kendo Tournament will be held in April of 2005 here in Dallas, Texas.  All current or prospective members of the AUSKF and the International Kendo Federation are invited to participate in the taikai.  Kendoka of YonDan (4th degree) or higher are invited to compete in the Texas Open Kendo Taikai.  The following is a brief summary of past tournament results:
